At Everyday Hero Fitness Centre, our team is led by a passionate and dedicated Head Trainer, Nico Du Plooy, who brings a unique blend of academic knowledge and competitive experience to our fitness programs. With a background in biomedical engineering and a higher certificate in exercise science, Nico combines scientific understanding with practical application. Despite being relatively new to coaching, starting just in 2024, Nico's approach is deeply informed by their own athletic journey—from playing Varsity Cup rugby for Wits University to excelling in Olympic weightlifting. This blend of personal athletic achievement and academic pursuit ensures that our training programs are both scientifically sound and tested in the field of competition.
